UMaine Recomendations 

A panel created to come up with ways for the University of Maine to make more money, while saving money, has issued its final report to school leaders.The goal is to close a $25 million budget gap.The panel’s recommendations have been altered to spare some programs previously targeted for cuts, including UMaine’s music, spanish and french majors.Suggested cuts that remain in the final report include majors in latin, german, theater, and public administration.There are recommended staffing cuts too, as well as suggestions to improve revenue.
