Cinderella Project

Girls were waiting in line early Saturday morning in Belfast to find their perfect prom dress. It’s called the Cinderella Project. And they’ve collected dresses, shoes and all the accessories a girl needs to go to prom in style. The best part, it’s all free.Saturday, the girls got to come try on the dresses and find the one that is perfect for them.Organizer, Mandie Sawyer says she is happy with the response they have gotten over the years and how much it’s grown.” The biggest surprise I have with the growth is how far away girls come from. I mean girls come from all over and it’s amazing. They drive for an hour and get here an hour before. It surprises me, it’s not just Belfast girls that are getting these dresses, it’s girls from all across the state.”Sawyer says several of the girls who came Saturday said they want to volunteer next year and will be donating their dresses back, so other girls can have their dream prom dress too.
