Some soldiers arriving at the Bangor International Airport were sweetly surprised Friday night. They were greeted by some girl scouts from the McGraw School in Hampden. The girl scouts shook the soldiers hands and gave them boxes of girl scout cookies.Organizers say they handed out over 400 boxes. And the soldiers say it was a nice surprise and they were happy to see the girl scouts.” I thought it was very great. I’ve got a grand-daughter that’s about the same age as them. It touched me, real nice.”Bangor is a lay-over for the soldiers, who will be deploying overseas.
