State police say poor visibility this morning is to blame for a two-car crash in Etna that sent two people to the hospital. The call came in about 8’clock of a wreck on I-95, near the Etna Road overpass. Troopers tell us James Higgs of Pittsfield was heading north in an S-U-V when he ran into the back of another car, driven by Gladys Brown of Corinna. Brown lost control and drove off the road into the woods. Rescue crews had to cut open the car to get to Brown and her family member. We’re told they were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Trooper Chris Hashey says Higgs didn’t see Brown’s car because of fog and the morning sun.
