Senator Snowe Stops by Bangor Career Center

Senator Olympia Snowe made a stop in Bangor Wednesday, taking a tour of the career center. There she talked about the career center’s services in helping people find jobs. The senator was also asked about health care reform. Following the senate’s vote on a bill that tweaked the recently passed overhaul plan, Snowe says she’s disappointed, considering what might have been. “There’s such a delay in many of the issues that could have been front ended in this process first and foremost rather then just defer 4 years from now where you’re gonna have big government more that could have a effect on job growth in this economy and be a hindrance for companies and small businesses to make investments hiring more people and purchasing capital.”Snowe says she regrets the process offered too few opportunities to forge legislation that would stand for all time.
