Earthquake in Winterport 

It has now been confirmed by the Weston Observatory in Boston, that there was in fact an earthquake. The quake was a 3.0 magnitude and happened at 4:42. At 5:01 there was an aftershock that rated a 1.1. The activity happened about 5 miles east north east of Winterport.Folks at the Weston Observatory say that is a minor quake, and it could probably be felt for about 10 seconds, but it wasn’t big enough to cause significant damage.
