March 27, 2010 – Lehigh vs Maine – Baseball 

After 19 games, all on the road, the Maine Black Bears can finally open their home schedule. Lehigh University made the long bus trip to Orono all the way from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania for a double header today and a double header tomorrow. In game one this afternoon, the Black Bears entered their home opener losers of six straight. Meanwhile, Lehigh getting ready for their Patriot League schedule.Steve Perakslis on the mound for Maine. He pitched ok. In the sixth, Andrew Russell goes deep to right-center for a solo shot. 3-0 Lehigh.But in the bottom of the sixth, the Black Bears make a charge. Joey Martin rips a single up the middle, Michael Fransoso scores from second to make it 3-2 Lehigh. However, that’s as close as Maine would get.Andrew Berger, great for the Mountain Hawks. He goes the distance, strikes out nine. Lehigh takes game one of the double header, 4-2 the final over UMaine.In game two of the double header, AJ Bazdanes threw six innings giving up only one run. The Black Bears got five runs from five different players. They take the back end of the double ehader, 5-1 over Lehigh.
