State Police: No Need for Studded Tires

Catherine Pegram

With snow on the roads gone, state police are reminding drivers studded tires should be, too. It’s against the law to drive with studded tires from May 1st to October 1st. But police say there’s really now need for them now since there hasn’t been much snow since late January. Keeping your studded tires after May 1st will cost you. Drivers can be fined $137.
