Two men from Swan’s Island accused of vandalizing a number of homes on Mount Desert Island have made their first court appearances.Police say 18-year-old James Lemoine and 18-year-old Roman Cook were ice fishing on Long Island Pond in January. That’s when they allegedly broke into 15 homes in the area. The two appeared last week in Hancock County Superior Court in Ellsworth. They’re charged with burglary and aggravated criminal mischief. At the time of the crimes, police estimated damage to all of the houses between $70,000 and $100,000.Both men are out on bail from the Hancock County Jail.
