Palmyra Vote

A vote next week will decide the fate of the Palmyra Consolidated School. The RSU 19 board of directors will be making that decision. The district faces a 1.8 million dollar shortfall. We’re told closing the school would save about $400,000.The school now serves 77 students, in grades pre-k through 4.Assistant Superintendent Arnold Shorey says closing the school is just one of the budget reduction options the board is considering. The board will meet on April 1st.
