There were days when former Husson coach John Winkin and his team were shoveling snow off the field in order to play home games in March. For coach Jason Harvey, its just the cold and a few light snow showers to worry about for their home opener against Bates.Husson pitcher Billy Bart getting the start and Mike Ciummei drills it to left. On the play Noah Burke from Appleton comes in to score. Burke was 3-4 in the opener today and scored twice.Husson had plenty of offence grabbing a 4-1 lead in the 2nd inning, Bangor’s Kyle Vanidestine drives in Brewer’s Chase Daniels. Vanidestine was 3-5 with four runs scored for the Eagles. Bates though outslug Husson in the opener and the Bobcats get the win 12-9.In the second game it was more of the same from Bates. They crush the Eagles 23-7 in seven innings.
