Body Found at Howland Dam 

Police have a mystery on their hands after a gruesome discovery at the Howland Dam on the Penobscot River Monday.Penobscot County Chief Deputy Troy Morton says the body of a man was found at the dam.He says employees called to say a body was in the water there.Maine State Police and the Medical Examiners office were both called in to assist the Sheriff’s office.The body was removed from the water.Morton says there was no identification on the body and there’s not much to go by at this point.Morton says the man was wearing a distinctive belt and belt buckle.If you have any information on this case contact Chief Deputy Troy Morton at 947-4585.
