What do pets and scrapbooking have in common? They were both part of Cropping for Paws, a marathon scrapbooking session and silent auction to benefit the Bangor Humane Society this past weekend. Animal lovers who enjoy the hobby of scrapbooking came out for the all-day scrapbooking event on Sunday.Experts were on-site to help those new to the craft get started. There were also free workshops throughout the day on the latest cropping tips and trends. All proceeds from this event will go directly to the bangor humane society and its animal residents. “It helps spread the word about out pets who need our help and need our support that comes from the public and these ladies also get together and meet each other and enjoy their hobby and their cropping,” Said the executive director of the Humane Society, Suzan Bell.Animals were there for support and were showcased as adoptable pets. Some dogs even had vests with pockets to collect donations.
