Members of UMaine Hockey Earn Conference Awards 

Tonight, the post season awawrds in Hockey East were handed out. Head coach Tim Whitehead was runner up for Coach of the Year. Jeff Dimmen was named to the Hockey East All-Conference Second Team. Gustav Nyquist was named the runner up for Conference Player of the Year but did earn All-Conference First Team honors. Nyquist also was named a top-ten finalist for the Hobey Baker Award. Maine’s sophomore winger leads the nation in scoring with 18 goals and 41 assists.The Black Bears play Boston University tomorrow night in the conference semi’s. The teams have met 12 times in the Hockey East tournament with each team winning six times. They have met four times in the semifinals and Maine has won all four.
