Requiring Motorcycle Inspections Discussed in Augusta 

A bill that started out as a way to cut back on motorcycle noise has evolved into a proposal that would require motorcycle riders to display inspection stickers.The pending legislation received initial house approval Tuesday.The transportation committee says nearly 40% of Maine motorcycles aren’t inspected.If passed, an inspection sticker would be required on the rear of bikes as of January 1st, 2012.The bill also calls for a study of motorcycle noise.
