Sorrento Woman Changes Plea 

A Sorrento woman changed her plea to guilty Tuesday, in connection with a fire that destroyed her mother’s former home back in 2006.Cecelia Sanborn is facing federal charges, because the home had been seized by federal officials.In 2004, drug agents found hundreds of marijuana plants in the home.Sanborn’s mother later pleaded guilty to drug charges and agreed to turn over the property to federal authorities.The home was destroyed by fire in June of 2006.Sanborn originally pleaded not guilty to charges of damaging federal property, and was expected to go on trial last month.Tuesday, she changed her plea in U.S. District court in Bangor. No sentencing date has been set.
