Tim Throckmorton

A year from now, in the middle of March, we might be able to fish for bass in Maine lakes. Right now, the rule is that bass fishing starts April 1st. Next year you will be allowed to fish for bass from a boat as soon as the ice is out. Ken Hoehlein, who teaches a bass fishing class, is excited about the possibility of starting earlier next season.Ken Hoehlein – Bass Fishing Instructor”Oh yeah, it’s good for the economy. It would have been great to have it this year because of how the weather has been. I actually called up and said can we move it up to this year. And they said by the time we get it through the month would be over.”Hoehlein teaches a bass fishing class at Ellsworth High School next Tuesday and at Bangor High next Thursday.
