Lincoln News Gets New Printing Presses

The Lincoln Newspaper is one step closer to being produced in its hometown again. It was just last November that fire swept through the building destroying everything inside, including the printing presses. The building is close to being complete, and the paper got new presses Monday.”It’s a new chapter for us, a new beginning.”, says Kevin Tenggren, Lincoln News Publisher. This is what Lincoln News looked like last November. Fire destroyed the building and everything inside. Thanks to some dedicated employees, they’ve managed to keep the paper going, even without a building. They’ve had the paper printed in Ellsworth.”Everybody’s done a wonderful job it’s been a great team effort.”Now they’re close to getting things back to normal. Their new building is almost complete and now they’ve received their new printing presses.”I couldn’t conceive that we would be at this point. I think mother nature and a good contractor made a big difference.”Reginald Hustus has been operating the presses for decades. After the fire, he thought his career was over. Now he hopes to be back printing the paper by the end of the month.”Just a feeling of pride. I enjoy printing, I’ve done it for about 40 years now and I look forward to starting it up and doing it again.”And that will represent a new edition for this small town paper, that managed to survive a losing everything.”Our appreciation for everybody’s support. We’ll be back.”
