Chapman in Court 

A Bangor man is behind bars after Old Town Police say he led them on a high speed chase.An officer says he tried stopping 27-year-old David Chapman for a traffic violation and he took off.District Attorney Chris Almy says Chapman was driving more than 100 miles per hour in a 45 mile per hour zone.Chapman was finally caught after Orono Police put down spike mats.They say they found oxycodone pills on him, too.Chapman was out on bail awaiting trial for a prior robbery chargeHe appeared in court today, facing new charges of OUI, alluding a police officer, and possession of scheduled drugs.”He has a long record of probation violations. Numerous criminal offenses. He’s not somebody who should be out pending trial. And this latest incident makes it more difficult for us.”Bail was set at 75-hundred dollars.Chapman is due in court again next month.
