Police Looking for Bangor Man Charged in Baby Death

Bangor police say they’re looking for a man in connection with the death of a 1-year-old boy.27-year-old Edgard Anziani is charged with murder.Early Tuesday morning, Bangor police responded to an emergency call on Bald Mountain Drive. Inside they found 15-month-old Damien Lynn.He was pronounced dead a short time later at a local hospital. An autopsy listed the cause of death as non-accidental trauma.According to a police affidavit, Anziani told investigators that the child fell down the stairs when he went to warm a bottle of milk.An official with the medical examiners office told police that the child’s injuries were not consistent with a fall down the stairs. The report says injuries included trauma on all sides of his head, arm and rib fractures, an abdominal injury, puncture wounds to his foot, and a human bite mark on his arm.An arrest warrant has been issued for Anziani, who police say lived at the home and is the boyfriend of Damien’s mother.”We want him to give himself up as soon as possible, so there are no further incidents and we can have people relax. He needs to do the right thing and come in and give himself up,” says Bangor Police Sgt. Paul Edwards.Officials say if you do see Anziani, do not approach him. They ask anyone who might know where he is to call police right away.
