Alert Portland landlord found not guilty of manslaughter

A Maine artist prominent in an abstract expressionist style called color field painting, has died at his home in the coastal region of the state. Kenneth Noland was 85.Noland died Tuesday from cancer in his home in Port Clyde.His wife confirmed the death through a spokeswoman. Noland was born in Asheville, North Carolina.He was a key painter in the style known as color field, which is characterized by large expanses of color either painted, stained or poured on canvas.
