Federal authorities are investigating Monday’s deadly plane crash near Greenbush.78-year-old James Beaton from the United Kingdom died. An autopsy Tuesday determined he died of multiple trauma. He was the only person on board.A search began when the plane disappeared from radar after leaving Bangor International Airport around eleven Monday morning.The wreckage was found a couple of hours later partially submerged in water on Olamon Island. Before the crash, the pilot had radioed the Bangor tower saying his wings were icing up.An official from the Federal Aviation Administration was on scene Tuesday.An investigator with the National Transportation Safety Board says over the next few days, the wreckage will be moved from the water to a hangar for further study. But first, they have to coordinate with insurance and recovery companies.
