Waldoboro Homicide-Lawsuit 

A Maine woman who survived a brutal knife attack that killed her friend has filed a lawsuit against the two people charged in the attack.In her lawsuit, 32-year-old Tracey Neild of Monroe says she permanently lost her voice and ran up $175,000 in medical bills after her throat was slashed when she and Rachel Grindal were attacked last April when they interrupted a burglary at Neild’s home at the time in Waldoboro. Twenty-five-year-old Earl Bieler and 43-year-old Corina Durkee are charged with murder in Grindal’s death, and attempted murder for the attack on Neild. A judge has signed an order that freezes the defendants assets so Neild can get paid if she wins the lawsuit.
