Bad Road Conditions Cause Crash in Newburgh 

A telephone poll in Newburgh was knocked down, and the power was knocked out, when a driver lost control this afternoon.A young woman from St. Albans was driving down the Kennebec Road around 1 p.m. when she lost control and hit the pole.The Penobscot County Sheriff says bad road conditions and excessive speed caused the crash.No one was hurt in the accident. Bangor Hydro was on scene to deal with the downed lines.With a significant storm on the way this weekend, the Sheriff’s department would like to take this opportunity to remind drivers to be cautious on the roads. Conditions are expected to be poor this weekend.
