Interim City Manager Discussed in Bangor 

Bangor city councilors could soon name an interim city manager.They met in executive session Monday night.Any decisions they do make, will have to be voted on during the council’s next meeting on January 11th.No immediate replacement was named for Ed Barrett when councilors voted to end his 22-year tenure by April.Barrett’s last day as city manager was Friday. He will be starting as Lewiston’s city administrator in the coming weeks.Assistant city manager Bob Farrar will be handling Barrett’s responsibilities for now.Bangor city councilors have said they plan to hire an executive search firm at the end of January, to find Barrett’s permanent replacement.
