Central Maine Family Christmas Dinner

About 200 volunteers in green and red shirts helped with the “Central Maine Family Christmas Dinner” a dinner which started three years ago to keep people from being alone during the holidays. The goal of the third annual dinner at the elks club in waterville was to serve 600 to a thousand people a free christmas dinner. Organizers like Norman, aka Ziggy Lawrence Jr. Say the group’s motto is to “never spend another christmas alone.”He says,”A lot of people might be alone where their families have moved, they’re the only ones left, and they’ll be alone. People get depressed at Christmas time because they’re alone or memories from the past, so they make new memories here.”
