The Piscataquis Santa Project is closing in on its goal of meeting the christmas wishes of hundreds of local residents.The project is a collaboration of Penquis, the Kiwanis Club, Toys-For-Tots, and many local business and community members. It provides provide presents to local children of all ages. Presents have already been given to about 600 local children, but there are still some kids on the list according to James Macomber of Penguis. “We’ve got about 22 kids left to fill at this point,” says macomber, “we’ve gone a long way so far but without a lot of help from the community, and businesses, organizations we wouldn’t have been to do it.
