A little natural snow and a little human made on top of that. That’s the life of an operator of a ski area even in Maine. Temperatures finally cold enough to turn on the guns and that’s what the crew at Hermon Mountain did on Friday. There is already a nice layer on the slopes from the last storm. Over the next few days the snow guns will fill in the bare spots and add to the base.
