A Christmas Carol Hits Penobscot Theatre

After a two year hiatus the Penobscot Theatre is brining back the holiday classic “A Christmas Carol.” The group is currently in rehearsals for the upcomming show, set to open December 10th and run until December 30th. Officials say whether it’s your first or 30th viewing of “A Christmas Carol,” this special production will keep you festive all season. “It’s always exciting to have the spirit of Christmas in the theatre building before Christmas and to be able to work with a company of mostly local actors and an actor from away who is playing Scrooge is really great to have sort of a warm family feeling here in the theatre,” Said the theatre’s producing artistic director Scott Levy.”A Christmas Carol” was originally a novel by Charles Dickens, and follows the story of Ebenezer Scrooge as he is visited by four ghosts on christmas eve.
