A yearly tradition continues for the St. Joseph hospital auxiliary. Their annual tree lighting ceremony will be held December 2nd.In the weeks before the ceremony, family and friends are invited to purchase an ornament for the remembrance tree with the name of a passed family member. Patient Services Representative Bonnie Richards says it’s a wonderful way to honor a loved one, but also a fun event as the lights are lit. She says each year about 50 to 70 people come out for hot chocolate and cookies, enjoy carolers and a tree lighting ceremony. The money raised this year will go toward high tech pill dispensers for every floor of the hospital.
