Palmyra Fire 

The Newport Fire Department responded to a fire in Palmyra Sunday evening.They were called to the scene at around 5:30 pm.When they arrived, crews found an addition to a trailer had caught fire. Fire fighters had a tough time reaching the flames. “Getting down into the rough driveway,” Said Assistant Fire Chief Rick Turner. “The building is approximately 7,500 feet out in the woods. Had to lay approximately 400 feet of line out there.”The fire marshal’s office will now try and determine the cause of the blaze.
