Homelessness Spotlighted at University College of Bangor

Folks at the University College of Bangor had a lesson in hunger and homelessness Monday night. They held a dinner where those in attendance were split up into three groups: the upper class, the middle class, and the lower class. Each group was served something different, and had different dining areas and amenities. It was part of the college’s effort to recognize hunger and homelessness awareness week. “It’s an opportunity for students to learn outside of the classroom. So that they’re learning about their world around them as well as getting their academics.”After the dinner the group was asked a series of discussion questions about the experience and what they had learned.Donations were collected at the event for a local food pantry.
