3 Killed in Fort Fairfield Crash

State Police say they are assisting Fort Fairfield Police following the crash of a pickup and a pulp truck in Fort Fairfield Monday afternoon that killed three people. The crash took place on the North Caribou Road just after noon. Troopers say the pickup was in the wrong lane and collided head-on with the larger truck and then caught fire. The dead, all occupants of the pickup, were adults and burned beyond recognition. The driver of the pulp truck was treated for minor injuries. A team of troopers, including members of the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit, responded to the crash site to assist Fort Fairfield Police with the investigation.
