Coast Guard Rescue Injured Sailor 

A daring rescue at sea by the Coast Guard.Sailors aboard the 23-foot sailboat, Sheila, called for assistance Sunday morning near Matinicus Island.One of their crewmembers had injured their spine.Seas were four to six feet at the time, with winds gusting up to 20 miles an hour.A Coast Guard helicopter, with assistance from a boat, hoisted the injured sailor out of the Sheila.The injured person was flown to Rockland, where paramedics took him to a local hospital.There has been no word yet how the crewmember injured his spine.
