Dry Town May See Changes After Election 

With the elections coming closer, the city of Friendship will be voting on whether to keep the town dry of alcohol or not.Voters in Friendship have rejected previous attempts in 1987, 1992 and 2000 to overturn the ban on alcohol sales.Owners in the only market in Friendship are pulling for the reinstatement of aclcohol sales. They told the Bangor Daily News that selling beer and winewould increase revenues and help keep them in business.Officials say the town’s had a ban on alcohol sales since 1919.
