Pink Tulip Project Has Colorful Plans for Spring 

Thousands of tulips are being planted all across the state.It’s part of the annual Pink Tulip Project, which raises awareness and money for breast cancer research in Maine. Last year, the project raised more than $50,000.Students from John Bapst High School were some of the volunteer gardeners in Bangor.This year, the tulips went in West Market Square, and along all the trees lining the downtown streets.Some of the volunteers say they can’t wait to see the the tulips come up this spring.If you’d like to get involved in the Pink Tulip Project, or to sponsor bulbs in honor of a friend or family member, you can find out more on the Maine Cancer Foundation website,
