Folks gathered Wednesday night for the 13th annual Rape Response Services annual fall auction.There was a live and silent auction held to raise money for the cause.Anna Mae Mitchell and the Rising Tide provided the entertainment for the evening.All the money raised goes to support survivors of sexual violence.Tina Boigt is the community outreach educator for Rape Response.She says these events are important to spread awareness. “We work really hard to raise awareness.” Tina told TV5 Wednesday. “It’s a women’s and a men’s issue. It falls on all of our shoulders to work together. We try to put smiling faces on to make sure people aren’t intimated or turned off by our name.”Rape Response Services provides free and confidential services including crisis intervention support groups, professional trainings, and community and school based education.
