Growing grapes in Maine can be done.Clem Blakney, owner of Unity Winery is proving that.Blakney started his business two years ago, and now grows five varieties of grapes.Because the grapes won’t be ready for making wine for another year or so, Blakney is working with Maine cranberries and other fruits.Unity Winery isn’t ready to start selling their wine quite yet.
