Steuben Crash Claims the Life of Two Teenagers 

A fatal accident in Steuben has left 2 teenagers dead and a third hospitalized. The accident happened at the corner of Route 1 and Eastside road tuesday night.Zachary Dean, 17-years-old, from Columbia Falls and his passenger 15-year-old Morgan Parritt of Steuben were both killed. A third person in the vehicle, a 12-year-old girl who has not been identified by police, was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center. Her condition is not known at this time.Washington County Sheriff’s say the Chevy Cavalier Dean was driving ran a stop sign and slammed into another vehicle, a 2003 Jeep Liberty driven by 31-year-old- Brooke Burgess also of Steuben. Burgess was treated and released at the scene. The Sheriff’s office says speed was a factor in the accident.Grief counselors will be at both Narraguagus and Sumner high schools from 9-2 tomorrow to help students cope with the loss of ther classmates.
