Police Investigate Baby Death 

Maine State Police say the death of a 4-month-old baby boy from Augusta is under investigation.The baby died Tuesday afternoon at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. An autopsy was scheduled for Wednesday to determine the cause of death. The baby was rushed by ambulance to MaineGeneral Hospital in Augusta on Monday evening. The child’s father called an ambulance and said the baby was unresponsive after taking a bath. The baby was then flown by helicopter to the Bangor hospital.The baby lived with its mother and was dropped off at the father’s house earlier in the day. All deaths of children under the age of three are investigated by State Police. Augusta Police are also investigating.
