The New York Times is reporting David Ortiz andManny Ramirez were among the more than 100 Major League Baseballplayers who tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs in2003. The report posted on the newspaper’s Web site Thursday citeslawyers involved in pending litigation over the testing results.They spoke anonymously because the information is under seal by acourt order. Ortiz declined comment to the paper. In 2004, he and Ramirez ledthe Boston Red Sox to their first World Series championship since1918. The results from the 2003 tests were supposed to remainanonymous, but they later were seized by federal agents. AlexRodriguez admitted using performance-enhancing drugs after he waslinked to the 2003 list.
