Charity Golf Tournament Held in Hermon 

Some folks were swinging clubs for a good cause today in Hermon.A charity golf tournament was held at Hermon Meadow golf course.It will help send children affected by cancer to a free week at Camp Rainbow in Ellsworth.It’s a camping experience that aims to meet the physical, psychological and emotional needs of hundreds of young cancer patients.Larry Reynolds organized the event.He says it’s all about helping the children.”Every dollar counts rather it helps the kid or goes to research. We’re here to have fun. We’re here to support the kids and whatever money we make will go to their benefit.”TV 5’s Jon Small, Todd Simcox and Wayne Harvey were among those sloshing around the course today to support the kids and to try and show each other up, they’re very competitive.Local kids ages four through high school attend Camp Rainbow which is hosted by the American Cancer Society at Camp Jordan in Ellsworth.For more information about Camp Rainbow contact the American Cancer Society at 1-800-227-2345.
