The New England Patriots will play oneof the toughest schedules in the NFL in 2009, and they now know thedates for each game. After opening the season with a previously announced Mondaynight game against Buffalo on Sept. 14, the Patriots will travel toNew York the following Sunday to face the Jets. Other highlights of the schedule released Tuesday night includea trip to Denver on Oct. 11 to play the Broncos, now coached byformer New England offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels. As previously announced, the Patriots will travel to London onOct. 25 to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That will be followed bythe team’s bye week. The second half of the season includes three prime-time games:Sunday, Nov. 15 at Indianapolis: Monday, Nov. 30 at New Orleans:and Sunday, Dec. 6 at Miami. The regular season ends Sunday, Jan. 3 against the Texans inHouston.
