Levant Store Robbed

She was robbed by a man who had just bought a cup of coffee.

Police say the cashier at the Corner Country Store on Union Street was making change for the man, when he suddenly reached over the counter and grabbed some cash.

He then bolted from the business and took off, with an employee chasing right behind.

She managed to get a description of a black Pontiac he used to make his getaway.

Security cameras in the store caught the robbery on tape.

&quot:At this point we’ll follow up on some leads we have.&quot: Maine State Police Trooper Chris Hashey told TV 5 on Thursday. &quot:Try to get the video enhanced and see if we can’t get some help from the public once we get that out to the media.&quot:

The robber is described as a white male with scruffy facial hair. He’s about six feet, two inches tall, and weighs about 200 pounds.

The robber was also wearing a grey hat and a grey coat.
