Officials say a neighbor or someone passing by noticed smoke coming from a home on the Deer Run road around 3:30 p.m.
By the time the first crews arrived on the scene, heavy smoke and some flames were shooting from the home owned by Mark and Kerri McDonald.
Fire officials believe the couple have at least two children, including a baby.
Fortunately, no one was home at the time, and no one was injured during the blaze.
Fire fighters from Glenburn, Hudson, Bradford and Corinth responded.
Officials say much of the fire damage appears to have been in the rear portion of the home.
That’s where the fire investigator is expected to focus much of their attention.
