A Maine man charged with manslaughter
in connection with the death of his girlfriend’s 17-month-old boy
was back behind bars Friday after a judge revoked his bail.
David Cook of Wilton left the Franklin County Jail on Tuesday
after a family friend used $100,000 worth of property to secure his
release. But Cook returned to court Friday after the friend was
arrested because of irregularities with the documentation provided
to jail officials.
Cook, who’s 25, is charged in the death of Matteo Hanson, who
was in his care at the time of his injuries.
Cook told police that the boy fell down a flight of stairs, but
an autopsy revealed that the injuries were consistent with being
kicked and punched.
