Hofland was involved in a manhunt a week before going into Stockton Springs Elementary School on Halloween of last year…..
He pleaded not guilty to 41 felony counts— charges include kidnapping… criminal restraint… threatening with a dangerous weapon… and burglary…..
During his court appearance… Hofland was very vocal…..
He said he believes authorities are working against him… and he wants a chance to collect evidence on his own behalf…..
Jeffrey Toothaker… Hofland’s lawyer… says Hofland will play a role in his own defense…..
Hofland is being held in the York County jail on one million dollars secured bail or 250-thousand dollars cash…..
He’s waiting for a psychological evaluation… which Toothaker believes will take place in about two weeks…..
The trial date is dependant on how long that evaluation takes…..
