Someone in northern Maine is a half million dollars richer.
A winning Megabucks ticket was sold last week at Smith’s General Store in Springfield.
The wednesday jackpot was $550,000.
State Lottery director Dan Gwadosky says the winner came forward on Friday.
That person now has five days to decide whether to take the money in a lump sum of about $275,000 or an annuity of about $22,000 a year for 25 years.
The winner’s name has not been released.
Gwadosky says the lucky person the 201st Maine winner since Megabucks started in the state in 1986.
