Man Charged in Hit-and-Run 

A man from Bangor has been charged in connection with a hit-and-run crash that injured a pedestrian.

31-year-old Brian Rice was arrested on an unrelated incident early Saturday morning.

Police say they later determined Rice had been driving the car that struck 20-year-old Amanda Guay Friday afternoon at the corner of Cedar and Third streets in Bangor.

Guay was released from the hospital Saturday…no word on the extent of her injuries.

Rice has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident…police say they have located the vehicle involved in the crash.

Another pedestrian was hit in Bangor around the same time Friday.

Police say that crash happened on Hammond street, near the intersection of Columbia Street.

38-year-old Billie Jean Davis was attempting to cross the street when she was struck by a pickup truck with a plow attached.

Davis was taken to EMMC with serious injuries…no word yet on her condition.

Police say they do not expect to charge the driver of the pickup…58-year-old Wayne Harriman of Brewer.
