A large piece of North Anson’s village center is in ruins.
The building that housed the Shared Blessings thrift store and food cupboard, and also the Masonic Hall, burned Saturday night in a massive fire.
Someone called 911 after seeing flames on the first floor.
By the time fire crews arrived, the building was engulfed in flames.
It took firefighters several hours to get the fire under control. Despite their best efforts, the building is a total loss.
No word yet on what caused the fire. Officials from the fire marshal’s office were at the scene Sunday morning. An investigation is underway.
